I had a chance to spend some time with the all new Project LiveWire today at it’s NYC unveiling and can tell you first hand, it generated a lot of “buzz.”

Onlookers, iPhone selfies and press descended on the Harley-Davidson dealership in Soho and watched as Mark-Hans Richer test drove one of the bikes around the block. The sound was….well–interesting.

It sounded a bit like a hair dryer, or as one journalist commented, a vacuum cleaner as it took off down the block. I’m not sure I get the “jet engine” take off  analogy that I have read everywhere (cough, cough, LA times), but–maybe it was lost in the traffic noise around NYC.
